Travel smart and optimise your scuba trip by planning ahead. Here are the five things you should do before you travel:
TIP 1
Email yourself your travel documents, passport, dive certification cards, etc. or store them on a cloud.
In case of loss, it is also much easier to print copies and get your necessary details.
TIP 2
Make sure you have a reliable scuba insurance cover coupled with your general travel insurance.
This is a must-have for any travelling diver!
TIP 3
Have your scuba gear serviced. This should be done once a year anyway and especially if you plan to travel.
Moreover, it may be expensive to replace gear once you are abroad.
TIP 4
Bring a few spares: fin and mask straps, batteries, mask, small torch, etc.
These might come in handy in case there is an issue with your main gear.
TIP 5
Plan an appointment with your doctor in order to get your medical dive form signed.
+ Ask a prescription for some basic medication such as motion sickness meds, probiotics, antihistamines, etc.
BONUS TIP
At the airport, on the plane or onboard M/Y OCEANOS, bring along anything you enjoy and/or that makes your life easier.
Here are a few hints:
✅ Load up your tablet with your preferred books or movies
